Chapter Summary
The chapter starts from where it left off in chapter 1171, our heroes returning from the underground (world of death) and Gaban explaining the above situation and the information he has to others. Gaban says there are three holy knights, and they plan to kidnap Elbaph children. Among them, there’s a female (Gunko) who has a strange arrow ability; because of that, children cannot resist. Another was Summers, whom he knows, and he has eaten the Thorn-Thorn Fruit and can grow and control vines, and his vines are wrapped around children and are invisible and strong, with iron, due to which we cannot touch them. And last but not the least, the person who can manifest nightmares into reality, and children’s nightmares become real and cause destruction in Elbaph. So the best possible solution to rescue the kids is to defeat the three individuals.
As they reach above in the sun world, seeing the chaotic large-scale destruction of Elbaph, as they are not known to the current situation and they are thinking they have to defeat only three human beings, the actual situation is far worse.
Kashi the giant meets the group and tells Hajrudin that Dorry and Brogy are trying to kill Elder Jarul, and they went crazy; please stop them. Sanji asks where Nami and Robin-san are and splits to rescue them at the school, and Zoro is with Hajrudin and goes where Dorry and Broggy are.
And in classic Oda style, we see the Elbaph map and currently where all the key events are happening, and we understand the chaotic situation in brief.
The scene shifts to Elder Jarul using a transponder snail, announcing his voice all over Elbaph and telling the truth about Harald’s death. He tells that our previous king, Harald, tried to join our nation with the World Government and create peace, but the World Government brutally betrayed Harald and they are responsible for the Elbaph king’s demise. And to protect his ideals of peace, Loki takes the blame, because if the truth is revealed, Elbaph would battle the World Government.
Now Elder Jarul is furious and starts his powerful speech, which Usopp loves and is pumped, saying this is Elbaph’s warrior spirit. Elder Jarul says, you can take our history and culture, but not our kids—let them go. Do you think this will break our spirit? It’s a grave mistake, and we will not show the patience of King Harald. Making a slave of our kind—who do you think you are dealing with? And he drops the lore: if the Harley texts are true, then the world is sure to be divided one day. So be it—on this day onwards, all of Elbaph stands against the World Government, and we will protect the peace which King Harald dreamed of. And these illusions and domi reverse are not enough to defeat us
The scene shifts to others and their reaction to Harald’s speech, and everyone’s morale is high and ready to defeat the enemy. Zoro says, “I like this geezer,” and Hajrudin replies that 300 years ago he was the strongest being who set sail from Elbaph into the waters. In the current scene, Zoro and Hajrudin reach Dorry and Broggy, and Hajrudin says they have to be cautious with them and cannot get caught in their attack, to which Zoro replies, “I have a plan,” and the chapter ends.
Analysis & important confirmation
This chapter reveals the current overall events happening in Elbaph and the location of the Straw Hats—where they are and what they are doing—in a classic Oda way of showing the Elbaph map.
Second, Elder Jarul states that if the Harley texts are right, then the world will divide one day, and this is the foreshadowing of future events that are currently taking place.
Fan Theories & Predictions
My theory is that Shanks will return to Elbaph and help the giants and the Straw Hats fight against the holy knights. It’s a far-fetched theory, but it has chances of happening, because first, Shanks arrived late at Elbaph, and kind of due to this we see the current situation happening. Will Shanks also not return on time this time? I think he will redeem himself by reaching at the nick of time.

Conclusion
Chapter 1172 of One Piece finally tells the current scale of the battle to all the people present in Elbaph, except Loki and Luffy, kind of. And we are going to see what Zoro has planned to defeat or stop Dorry and Broggy, which will be interesting to see in the next chapter.
