Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Official Release Date and First Trailer

Great news for Jujutsu Kaisen anime fans! Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is finally coming closer than you think, and we now have an official release date and Trailer. The popular anime will return in January 2026 with its next arc called the Culling Game Arc.




The Long-Awaited Announcement

Fans have been waiting patiently since December 2023, when Season 2 ended. The wait is almost over! Toho Animation announced that JJK Season 3 -The Culling game part 1 will premiere in January 2026. This season will adapt the Culling Game Arc from the manga, which is full of intense battles and a crucial storyline, and as the title tells it's a part 1 which means this arc is  divided into two parts

Fifth Anniversary Livestream Also Reveals New Movie

On August 31, Toho Animation held a special livestream on YouTube to celebrate the anime's Fifth Anniversary. The event is hosted by the three main voice actors who bring our favorite characters to life:

  • Junya Enoki (voice of Yuji Itadori)

  • Yuma Uchida (voice of Megumi Fushiguro)

  • Asami Seto (voice of Nobara Kugisaki)

During this livestream, we finally got to see the first JJK Season 3 trailer, and another exciting announcement is the Theatrical Cut of Shibuya Incident Arc, and this movie will include 1st 2nd episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Culling Game Arc on November 7, 2025 in Japan.

As a fan, it's really worth the wait because we will also see new content of JJK Shibuya Arc in a few months, and also an early look at JJK Season 3. This Sunday is special for JJK and anime community



Voice Actor Insights and Production Updates

Junya Enoki, who voices the main character Yuji Itadori, shared his feelings about the JJK Season 3. He told fans that he has already started recording for Season 3, and the Battle Scenes are going to be "on a whole different level."

Story Direction and Character Development

Season 3 will show a more mature Yuji Itadori. After everything that happened in Shibuya, Yuji now knows exactly what he's fighting for. The trailer revealed some fight scenes where Yuji fights Yuta Okkotsu

The biggest concern for Yuji is that Ryomen Sukuna is getting stronger and stronger. Yuji can sense that Sukuna is planning something involving Megumi Fushiguro.

What will Part 1 of the Culling Game arc Cover


As we all know that Kenjaku(Geto) has planned something on a big scale that has affected entire Japan.
The culling game arc is just the beginning of the horrors that are about to unfold in Japan This arc will introduce many new characters and thier origin as well. As we all know that after Gojo has been sealed his influence and pressure on the very world has been lifted and the evils that had been in control due to him have been released once again.

According to the trailer released on 31st August the Part 1 of culling game arc will cover many fights such as 'Yuji vs Yuta', 'Choso vs Naoya' and Maki vs the Entire Zenin clan. This Season will also introduce Hakari who was a Jujutsu high Tokyo Student and was also one of the strongest as stated by Gojo in Season 1.

MAPPA Studio will continue animating Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, which is famous for its beautiful and clean animation

Meanwhile, the original manga creator, Gege Akutami, has moved on to new projects. The Jujutsu Kaisen manga ended in September 2024, but Akutami is now working on a new series called "Mimojuro" with artist Yuji Iwasaki.

What This Means for Jujutsu Kaisen Fans

January 2026 might seem far away, but the movie is closer than you think, which will premiere on November 7, 2025 in Japan and on December 5 in North America, and it gives MAPPA plenty of time to create the best possible animation, unlike its second season . But that aside, based on what Junya Enoki said about the Battle Scenes, Season 3 is going to be worth the wait. 

The Culling Game Arc is one of the most intense parts of the Jujutsu Kaisen story. It's full of new characters, dangerous situations, and amazing fights. Fans who have read the manga know how exciting this arc is.
